Position: PHP Software Developer 

Duty location: Remote, with the possibility to work from Prague office 

Starting date: ASAP 

Contract length: one year with the possibility of extension

General Post Description:

 PIN is looking for a remote skilled PHP Software Developer to work on web applications that serve the needs of humanitarian work. Your responsibility will be to design, build and maintain the applications. You will closely collaborate with the product manager, tech lead, support specialist, another software developer and a QA. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Design data structures, algorithms, and overall system architecture.  
  •  Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code.  
  •  Create documentation for code, APIs, and other technical aspects.  
  •  Deploy applications to different environments (development, testing, production).  
  •  Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for deployed applications.  
  •  Implement software, locally in the field as needed.  
  • Participate in relevant Scrum ceremonies.  
  • Work closely with project / product team members (tech lead, designers, testers, project / product managers) to ensure seamless project development.

Skills & Requirements: 

  • At least 3+ years of experience as a PHP Developer or similar role.  
  •  Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (Symfony is a plus).   
  •  Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).   
  •  Experience working with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and writing SQL queries.   
  •  Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).   
  • Experience setting up and maintaining hosting infrastructure (AWS) 
  • Experience setting up CI/CD is an advantage 
  • Experience designing microservices is an advantage 
  • Understanding of web services (REST, SOAP) and APIs.   
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.   
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.   
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.   
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.  
  • Full working proficiency in English.
